Early Childhood Screening
This screening examination is a mandatory requirement for a student to attend Kindergarten or first grade in a public school. Screening is a simple and careful check of your 3 year old child in the following areas of development: speech and language, concepts, gross and fine motor, and social/emotional. Vision, hearing and physical growth are also screened. It is designed to evaluate the current development of your child, and if needed, suggest resources to assist your child.
Community Education's Early Education program offers developmental screening in the Early Education Center. Provided your child is in our District's census, you will receive an invitation to attend when your child is approximately 3 1/2 years. There is no cost for early childhood screening. If you have concerns or questions, please call the Early Education Center at 320-762-3305.
